Why we built this
Applying for or updating a PAN card should be straightforward — but one of the most common stumbling blocks is getting the photo right. India's two PAN portals (Protean eGov Technologies and UTIITSL) each have different pixel dimensions, DPI requirements, and file-size limits. A photo that passes on one portal may fail on the other.
Most people spend time hunting for these specifications across multiple websites, then struggle to resize their photo to the exact KB limit using software that either doesn't give them fine control or requires installing an app. We built PAN Card Photo Resize to solve that problem in one place — with no install, no account, and no upload required.

The output JPEG has the correct DPI value written directly into the JFIF header — so portal validators that check resolution metadata see the right value.
Our commitment
PAN Card Photo Resize is and will always be free to use. We will never introduce paywalls for the core resizing functionality, inject ads that track you across the web, or require you to create an account to use the tool.
